Chicago actor headshots photographer Michael Calas, offers a session that covers all the necessary aspects to help you get an agent and auditions.
Most agents want photos for the following categories:
- Commercials – Casual, bright, friendly and approachable.
- Theatrical ( TV & Film) – Serious yet approachable. Looking your very best, but not glamorous.
- Sitcom – Friendly, fun, but not as casual as your commercial look.
- Business – Serious look, more on the conservative side. A more authoritative look.
More or less wardrobe changes really depend on your agent or manager’s requests. Always confirm with your representation what they are looking for in your next headshot session. 2 Looks – Actor Headshots Session
Michael will shoot 2 different looks. Please bring at least 4 different outfits complete with proper shoes, jackets, undergarments and fashion accessories, this way we have lots of options. To keep you looking great, Michael chooses the best outfits for each look. Michael always shoots until he feels he has captured what’s need for a specific look, before moving on to another wardrobe change.
- Pre-shoot consultation.

- 40-50 exposures per look.
- Online proof system (Available within 24 hrs.).
- Online gallery available for 90 days.
- All shoots are saved.
- 2 retouched images included. (For print & web)
- DVD with all proofs from session.

3 Looks – Actor Headshots Session
Michael will shoot 3 different looks. Please bring at least 6 different outfits complete with proper shoes, jackets, undergarments and fashion accessories, this way we have lots of options. Actor Headshots & Publicity Session
Many times actors need more than just actor headshots. They are looking for a photo session geared towards publicity requirements and they want a more commercial look and feel as well as their acting headshots, so I have a package that will satisfy both needs. In a publicity session one can get an amazing variety of shots within the studio, or on site where one can really create a full and original concept to convey the message that you want the shots to have. Michael welcomes great concepts and locations or he can come up with something just for you.
We’ll spend about 4-6 hours with you (including hair/makeup time, travel and lighting setup, etc) making sure the studio or your site is set up and lit to match the look you’re going for. If your site is not too far from our studio, we can usually combine the two. These kinds of shoots really let us get creative with the shooting environment and get great shots for your needs as well as our portfolio.

Digital Retouching
- The cost of digital retouching is based on the tasks and not by the hour.
- Basic Retouching starts at $35.00 per image.
- Basic retouching includes: softening eye bags and wrinkles, removing major blemishes, smoothing the skin, whitening the eyes and teeth.

Terms & Payments:
- A 50% deposit is required to book your appointment.
- This deposit is applied to your total booking fee.
- Your reservation is canceled if the deposit is not received before the appointment or you make other arrangements.
- Only CASH or CREDIT CARDS are accepted as payment for your photo session.
- Your balance is due before your photo session.
- All major credit cards are accepted via Paypal. If you plan to pay with credit card, please pay online.
- You can conveniently pay the deposit online via Paypal or, you can hand deliver a cash payment at the studio.
- Personal checks are not accepted.
Cancellation & Rescheduling:
Michael is very flexible with rescheduling, but please be reasonable. If you cancel and do not reschedule you will lose your deposit.
Re-Shoot Policy:
My goal as a professional photographer is to make you excited and happy with your photos. In the unlikely event that there is a technical problem, I offer a free re-shoot. Please address all concerns within 7 days of the session.
